It will be an all English affair in the UEFA Champions League 2017-18 quarter-final as Liverpool take on Manchester City in one of the four matches. Juventus will take on Real Madrid in a repeat of 2017 final. Spanish giants FC Barcelona will lock horns with AS Roma, while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will lock horns with Sevilla in the last 8 of the tournament. The first leg of the quarter-final will be played on April 3-4 and the second leg will be a week later on April 10-11.

Talking about playing Barcelona in the quarters, recently retired player and current Roma director Francesco Totti said, “We knew we would have faced a top side, whoever we got. But we are convinced we will represent our colours well.”

Jurgen Klopp has a terrific record against Pep Guardiola as managers, during their time at the German Bundesliga and now in the Premier League. The Liverpool manager has defeated Guardiola’s team on 5 occasions in all competitions, which more than any other manager in the world.

As far as defending champions Real Madrid go, they have defeated Italian sides on 11 occasions in a two-legged knockout tie and have lost 9. Their opponents Juventus, on the other hand, have a win-loss ratio of 8-7 against Spanish sides. Real have a chance to become the first time to win the competition thrice in a row.
