The Edo Government orders a 24-hour curfew in the Obazagbon and Oghehe areas.

The Edo State Government has proclaimed a 24-hour time limitation in the Obazagbon to Ogheghe hub of the Irhirhi-Arogba-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Street for 24 hours, beginning from 12.00am Thursday, September 29 to 12am Friday, September 30, 2022.

In an explanation endorsed by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., the public authority said the time limitation is to clear a path for a security practice in the impacted regions.

“This is to tell the overall population that the Edo State Government has proclaimed a check in time in the Obazagbon to Ogheghe pivot of the Irhirhi-Arogba-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Street for 24 hours, beginning from 12.00am Thursday, September 29, 2022 to 12am Friday, September 30, 2022.

“Government is leading a security activity nearby and cautions individuals from the networks to avoid the Obazagbon to Ogheghe pivot of the street, so as not to jeopardize themselves.

“Occupants in the space are encouraged to remain inside as the public authority leaves on the security work out,” the assertion mostly read.

Mr Ogie further expressed that the impacted regions are from Obazagbon Intersection to Ogheghe Intersection on the Irhirhi-Arogba-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Street and environs; from Ogheghe Intersection on the Irhirhi Street up to Ogba Waterway and environs; street interfacing Okoroma Intersection on the Irhirhi Street to Amagba and environs and from Amagba Intersection to Ogba Stream on the Ogheghe – Obagie Street (connection to Sapele Street) and environs.

He added that drivers and walkers are encouraged to utilize elective courses. Anybody found dillydallying nearby during the time limit will be captured.
