Parents want the strike to end, ASUU plans to appeal the ruling


The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Wednesday said it will pursue the decision of the Public Modern Court of Nigeria, which requested the union to call off its continuous cross country strike and resume work.

The PUNCH reports that ASUU has been protesting since February 14 to squeeze home requests for further developed financing for universities and a survey of pay rates for instructors, among different issues.

Thusly, the Federal Government went to court to challenge the strike.

Addressing The PUNCH on Wednesday, Public President, ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said the union will pursue the decision, adding that the Federal government had denied Nigerian youngsters their freedoms.

APC praises request

EKSU orders resumption
In the mean time, Ekiti State College, Ado-Ekiti has coordinated that full academic exercises ought to continue nearby with impact from Thursday (today).
