NDLEA Questions Obi Cubana Over Alleged Drug Links – Crime

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday barbecued socialite, Obi Iyiegbu, prominently known as Obi Cubana, for his supposed connection to the unlawful opiate business, The PUNCH has learnt.



The PUNCH reports that Iyiegbu, who is the Chairman, Cubana gathering of organizations, was barbecued for around five hours at the Abuja base camp of the NDLEA before he was conceded bail and requested to return sometime not too far off.

Immaculate sources told our reporter that dubious installments were made into Cubana’s record by three sentenced street pharmacists from Malaysia, Nigeria and India.

Agents of the NDLEA and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have now extended the test into Cubana and his business network in view of the reason that he might be associated with the medication business.



“Obi Cubana showed up at the NDLEA office around 9am and reacted to inquiries for certain hours before he was allowed bail at 2pm. There are doubts that he might be a medication head boss. A few indicted street pharmacists paid assets into his record.

“We have had the option to build up three of such installments. One of the people that paid cash into his record was indicted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; another that was sentenced in New Delhi, India; likewise paid cash into his record while a third individual that was captured at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and sentenced in 2017, additionally paid cash into Cubana’s record,” said a source.



The socialite was permitted to return home to get a few archives which would be introduced to the NDLEA.
