Adesina Ogunlana, an advice for some #EndSARS dissenters in Lagos State, has approached Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to show up before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry examining the supposed slaughtering of quiet dissidents by troopers at the Lekki tollbooth the evening of October 20.
Review that the Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brigadier General Ahmed Taiwo, had told the board last Saturday that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.- Gen. Tukur Buratai requested the sending of warriors to the tollbooth and different pieces of the state following a solicitation by Sanwo-Olu.
“He (the lead representative) called the Chief of Army Staff, following which 81 Division, Nigerian Army was requested into stage four of inward security activity; the call was in the early evening, before 4pm,” Taiwo said.
Addressing The Punch, Ogunlana said since the military has uncovered that they were welcomed by Governor Sanwo-Olu it would be significant for the lead representative to show up before the board.
He demanded that the lead representatives’ appearance was essential to the situation of his customers.
On whether he would push for Sanwo-Olu’s appearance, Ogunlana stated, “obviously, that is taken (sic). That individual (Sanwo-Olu) should come; he’s a factor and he will come. He says he has confidence in the standard of law, his Attorney General, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), has come to show up before that board to simply give a short discourse and to avow that the Lagos State Government is for sure dedicated to disentangling reality with regards to what occurred at Lekki on that day; and the military has referenced him, thus, he is a factor.”
