A police constable, Ophedo Chidera, yesterday, supposedly mistreated a man, Chidiebere Azuatalam, at Anara Divisional police base camp in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State over a N5,000 bail pay off.



It was accumulated that the casualty was at the police division to look for the bail of a widow, Akudo Chimezie, who was captured by the cop for a minor fight with her late spouse’s family member.

The cop had held the widow in care and demanded that she should supposedly provide him N10,000 so as to recapture her opportunity. The widow, along these lines, reached the person in question, who is her family member, to help encourage her bail.



Portraying his difficulty, the casualty told newsmen that the cop requested that he bring N10,000. “I advised him to take N5,000 as a result of the window’s pitiable condition.
