  1. Allen is cramping Price for space by coming close and then holding – slowing down the contest.

Both fighters need a breather for the distance, which it looks like it might go.

  2. Corner talk…

    “He’s running out of ideas”.

That’s what David Price’s corner are saying right now.

  3. David Price attacks

Price gets through again as Allen looks to unload – this is really impressive from the giant.

    Sticking to the gameplan.

Allen then swings but punches air.

  4. Post update

  5. A rather benign last 30 seconds suits Price down to a tee.

  6. Jose Mourinho is in the house.

There is currently no Special One in the ring, although Price is definitely on top here.

Price gets through with a few more jabs before Allen catches him with another right-hand upper cut.

However, the Liverpool fighter keeps his defence up – he looks strong.

  7. Price gets in a flurry of body shots before the bell.

That was a decent round for Allen.

  8. Another jab catches Allen’s nose. The White Rhino lands a good upper cut as he looks to retaliate having been on the backfoot for pretty much three rounds.

Can the Conisbrough-based boxer take this past halfway?

  9. Price jab

    It’s not 100mph from either.

Methodical jabbing from Price is not giving Allen the chance to attack.

If Allen does decide to throw caution to the wind now will he be caught cold?

  10. Price continues to find a way through Allen’s guard with his jabs then lands one on the body of his smaller opponent.

An upper cut from Price rocks Allen – the Liverpool boxer is dictating.

  11. Meanwhile, back stage…

  12. Price is getting through with these jabs and Allen is continuing to target the body.

The 6ft 8in 36-year-old is edging this one so far though.

David Penn:Whyte v Rivas guarantees pain: for both! Haven’t seen Rivas’ chin tested but it will be tonight! Whyte in rounds 6-9.

  14. Allen and Price

Allen is stepping it up with some body shots. He’ll have to keep that up to weaken his bigger opponent.

An upper cut then surprises Price – his defence isn’t as good as it could be.

  15. It’s a funny old game

Still laughing at that Chisora fight?

  16. Post update

  17. A left hand from Price lands flush on Allen’s face.

The Doncaster De La Hoya shrugs it off, but his mush is all the redder for it.

The big Scouser will be happy with that.

  18. Price tests Allen with some jabs early doors, but they fail to land.

Allen is content to stand back and see what Price’s intentions are.

Price’s reach, understandably, is far greater than his opponent’s. His biggest weapon tonight?

  19. Tale of the tape (sort of)
