  • Halep breaks

    *Halep 6-2 1-0 Tsurenko

Lesia Tsurenko cannot adjust quickly enough to a thick net cord, rushing her response into the net to slip 15-30 down.

Here come two break points for Simona Halep.

    First serve missed by Tsurenko.

Halep on top in the resulting rally.

And that is a clean kill. A vicious forehand down the line from Halep that Tsurenko does not even bother getting out the blocks for.

Tsurenko is yet to hold serve.

    Naomi Cavaday

BBC Radio 5 live tennis commentator at Roland Garros

The conditions – it is a lot warmer today. The times Tsurenko has been playing this week it has been a lot cooler. Maybe suddenly the ball is flying for her, it might be feeling a bit loose on her strings.

  • Zverev goes early break down

    *Zverev 1-3 Lajovic

Things are not going quite so smoothly for fifth seed Alexander Zverev, who is already a break down in his third-round match against world number 35 Dusan Lajovic.

He just doesn’t make things easy for himself, does he?!
