  1. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Leander Dendoncker is offside as he chests down a long ball forward. The Belgian’s loan move to Wolves from Anderlecht became permanent this summer.

  2. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

It does feel like a Wolves goal is coming.

  3. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Wolves play their corner short and Joao Moutinho’s cross is headed over the bar by Ryan Bennett.

  4. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Brilliant play by Wolves forward Diogo Jota. He wins the ball and dances past three defenders before a wonderful sliding tackle by Sean Ward to block his goalbound shot.

  5. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders keeper Sean O’Neill is having a great game. This time he comes off his line to take the ball off the feet of Jonny, who had controlled a cross-field pass in the box. The Spaniard would have had a good chance there if the keeper had stayed put.

  6. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Morgan Gibbs-White, playing in an unfamiliar centre forward role, gets a head onto this free-kick but Sean O’Neill saves again.

  7. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Adama Traore takes on and beats Jarlaith O’Rourke, who has to hack the unpredictable Wolves winger down. He’s slightly lucky to avoid a yellow card.

  8. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

The second leg is next Thursday (1 August).

The next round starts the following week, with the winners of this facing either Pyunik of Armenia or Czech side Jablonec.

Pyunik won their home leg 2-1 earlier today.

  9. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders are only part-time. Their goalkeeper Sean O’Neill used to play Gaelic football for Antrim.

  10. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

A Wolves free-kick bounces round the box and teenager Morgan Gibbs-White – who is going to have a very big season – heads it into the hands of Sean O’Neill.

  11. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

It’s a fantastic atmosphere at Molineux. It’s good to see a Premier League team take Europa League qualifiers seriously. I’ve had to sit through too much of West Ham and Burnley playing weakened teams in the past few years.

  12. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Wolves are starting to turn the screw now. The ball drops for Diogo Jota in the box but he snatches at his shot and it’s wide of the far post.

  13. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

It’s starting to open up now. Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho blasts a shot in from distance but Crusaders keeper Sean O’Neill is able to catch it.

  14. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders have the first shot! Wolves half clear to former Aston Villa youngster Rory Hale, whose fizzing 20-yard half-volley goes just wide.

  15. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Crusaders have won a corner as Conor Coady nudges the ball behind under pressure as Chris Hegarty chased a long ball.

  16. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

It’s 31C in Wolverhampton. Not conditions that West Midlands or Belfast-based players will be used to.

    Nothing’s happened yet. Slow start.

  17. Post update

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

An early foul from Declan Caddell and Wolves have a free-kick, but they take it short.

  18. Elsewhere in Europe

As well as the usual exotic team names you have never seen before in Europa League qualifiers (shoutout to Gzira United), there are some more familiar sides playing tonight.

Espanyol are facing Stjarnan, Strasbourg are playing Maccabi
Haifa and Torino are up against Debreceni.

Dublin side Shamrock Rovers face Apollon Limassol.

Sulaimon Adelekan:With the performances Wolves showed against the so called top teams in the Premier league last season, they will definitely be a hard nut to crack. I see them going as far as the quarter finals.

David Ogden:I think Wolves are gonna be a proper surprise package all this season. They’ve got the steel about them to compete against the big boys in the prem and I reckon they’ll push on ok in the Europa League too. A nice exciting team with a top manager

  20. KICK-OFF

    Wolves 0-0 Crusaders

Here we go. Wolves are back in Europe.
