A former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s comment on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) assessment of Nigeria.
He said President Buhari is comfortable with the World Bank’s money but uncomfortable with the bank’s assessment of Nigeria.
Buhari had on Wednesday said on his Twitter handle – @MBuhari:“Today, most of the statistics quoted about Nigeria are developed abroad by the World Bank, IMF and other foreign bodies. Some of these statistics are wild estimates that bear little relation to the facts on the ground.”
But clearly responding to the comment, Sani wrote on his verified Twitter handle – @ShehuSani: “You want World Bank money; you don’t want World Bank assessment.”
