Breaking News: Panic at Real Madrid as Ronaldo is set to miss Champions League final against Liverpool

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has said he does not know how long Cristiano Ronaldo will be out injured. The five-time Balon d’Or winner did not come back to the pitch with his teammates for the second half of El Clasico as his side were 2-1 down. Gerard Pique seemed to have stepped on Ronaldo’s ankle when he scored Real’s first equalizer in the 15th minute.  The Champions League final is just two weeks away as the holders will need their talisman as they aim to win the tournament three times in a row . “I don’t know how long he’ll be out,” Zidane said after the 2-2 draw. “He said it wasn’t much, but we’ll see tomorrow, we’ll do some tests to see the extend of the damage done to his ankle. “He was a little worried because it was a bit swollen, but he said that it’s nothing serious. “It’s not a worry for the Champions League final…we’re all going to be there.” Ronaldo’s season sparked into life after a slow start but former Manchester United star has scored 43 times in 42 matches for Los Blancos this season. Liverpool’s main man Mohamed Salah has the same number of goals this term but has played seven more games. The last time Real lost a final in Europe was in 1981 when the Merseyside club emerged victorious by a 1-0 scoreline. With 15 points behind champions Barcelona, Los Blancos will be looking to finish the season on a high as they pursue their third consecutive Champions League title.
