The Monaco man was the subject of a £92million from Arsenal on Deadline Day in August, but with such a short time to make a decision, as well as an international fixture for France that evening, he decided against making the move which would have been a British record.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a phenomenal season both personally an for his team, scoring 14 goals as his Monaco side won their first Ligue 1 title since 1999, and also made it to the Champions League semi-finals. His form has taken a bit of a nosedive this season however, finding the net on just three occasions.
Arsenal were not the only team interested in the youngster, with Liverpool and Chelsea also linked, but he has now admitted that he has some slight regrets of moving to the Premier League, and hopes to move on after this season.
He told Telefoot: “Regrets? Maybe. I was a little disappointed. Once it’s over, it’s over, so do not think about it.
“I will keep working hard so these clubs will eventually come back in the next transfer window. I am open to all offers. I am a football player, I like football. I do not close any door.”
