BREAKING: Americans, Canadians leave Nigeria as evacuation begins Over Coronavirus crises
The High Commission of Canada to Nigeria, on Monday confirmed that some of its nationals have been airlifted back home amid the coronavirus crisis.
Ethiopian Airlines took about 200 Canadians from Lagos and Abuja to Toronto with a B767 Aircraft.
The mission gave the update via its Twitter account @HCCanNigeria.
“Today we helped almost 200 travelers return to Canada with support from Nigerian authorities. We look forward to the day when we can resume full movement back and forth to keep building people-to-people ties”, the tweet read.
Also, @TravelGoC, the Twitter account of the Canadian government travel advice, said citizens of Ukraine, Thailand, Djibouti and India were also returned home on Monday.
“14 days is mandatory for anyone who returns to Canada”, the tweet added.
Similarly, Ethiopian Airlines evacuated 385 Americans to Washington D.C.
